Just a Touch

“Just a Touch” artwork by Pam Daniels.

This piece was on exhibit at the Evanston Art Center in Fall 2023 which meant it wasn't included in the Super Surface show, though conceptually it fits right in.

Piece is 20in x 20 in x 3/4 in. Flashe vinyl and acrylic on custom milled MDF.

Mesh was pressed into the wet blue paint to achieve some textural interest. For the vertical color bar, a string was fastened and painted over and then removed. While still wet, the string was used to “ink” the canvas with the residue in the contrast color.
